Albergo Backpackers Terms and Conditions

Cancellation policy, non arrival and early check-out:

  • Less than 30 days prior to scheduled date of arrival will result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the value of the entire booking.
  • Less than 15 days prior to scheduled date of arrival will result in a cancellation fee of 100% of the value of the entire booking.
  • “No show” and “early check-out” will result in a cancellation fee of 100% of the value of the entire booking.
  • All confirmed and paid bookings for the Matric week(s) are not able to cancel their booking and will not receive a refund.
  • All bookings which are made online (for all affiliates websites like Booking.com, Hostelworld.com, Hostelz.com etc. and albergo.co.za or any other website) must be cancelled online.
  • It is the guests’ responsibility to make sure that transport to the backpackers on the day of arrival has been arranged up front. Non arrival due to no seats/transport available will not be accepted as a valid reason to cancel accommodation.

General policy:

  • We only accept Visa and MasterCard
  • Valid Credit Card Details are required to secure and confirm your reservation unless payment is requested into our bank account. Credit card details can be given to us by fax, phone or e-mail.
  • Payments can be made into our bank account, all international bank charges are for the guests account.
  • Online bookings pay a 50% deposit by credit card or bank transfer. For bookings in high season (December and January) the rest amount (50%) has to be paid 1 month prior to the arrival date. We will request this by e-mail.
  • Children do not stay free of charge in our high season
  • We reserve the right to quote you other rates than the advertised rates.
  • House rules apply for every guest.
  • No animals are allowed on the premises.
  • Online availability in accommodation can be different than our actual availability.
  • Dorm accommodation in the shared dorm is only available for adults over the age of 18 years.
  • We do not accept any 3rd party bookings if the company is not disclosed at time of the booking. We can cancel the booking at any time without refunding the money.
  • Reselling of our accommodation is only allowed after you have received written permission from the owner of Albergo for Backpackers
  • All accommodation rates and prices are subject to change at any time!
  • All activity rates are subject to change at any time
  • Bookings around New Years eve have to be a minimum of 4 nights, please send us an e-mail for more details.
  • Albergo for Backpackers has a Liquor Licence (no. WCP/041370). Therefore it is not allowed for guests to bring their own alcohol on the premises
  • For all cancellations we will charge an administration fee of R 50.00 per person per night

Albergo house rules:

  • Obey instructions from any of the Albergo for Backpackers staff and owners.
  • No smoking in the buildings.
  • Don’t bring any alcohol on the premises; alcohol brought on the premises will be confiscated.
  • No drugs or any other type of illegal substance is allowed on the premises.
  • No loud and out of control behaviour is allowed on the property
  • When returning late at night, be quiet and considerate to other guests.
  • All used dishes from the kitchen must be washed, dried and packed away after use.
  • Report any breakage to management.
  • All visitors must report at reception immediately
  • Albergo for Backpackers reserves the right to evict at any time, any person or group of persons who breaks the above rules or causes any kind of problems.
  • When you get evicted you will not be refunded any money.
  • By signing in you accept and acknowledge the general house rules.

The Matric Rage Terms and Conditions:

We start taking bookings from the 1st of March 2016!

Matric bookings can only be booked by sending us and e-mail: info@albergo.co.za or fill out The booking form. No third party bookings will be allowed.

General information about the Matric bookings:

  • During the Matric Rage we only cater for matric girls;
  • We offer private dorm style rooms with shared bathroom (bunk beds);
  • The rates for the accommodation are a following:
    • Dorm style accommodation for R 335.00 per person per night;
    • Dorm style room for 2 persons with shared bathroom for R 670.00 per room per night;
    • Dorm style room for 3 persons with shared bathroom for R 1005.00 per room per night;
    • Dorm style room for 4 persons with shared bathroom for R 1340.00 per room per night;
    • Dorm style room for 6 persons with shared bathroom for R 2010.00 per room per night;
    • Dorm style room for 10 persons with shared bathroom for R 3350.00 per room per night (could be shared with other guests) R 335.00 per person per night;
    • Dorm style room for 12 persons with shared bathroom for R 4020.00 per room per night (could be shared with other guests) R 335.00 per person per night;
  • We have 3 camping spots available:
    • 2 persons per spot, maximum size tent is a “3-man tent” per camping spot. Price is R400.00 per spot per night, max. 2 persons per spot;
  • There is a minimum stay of 7 nights;
  • All accommodation must be paid in full, as soon as the booking is confirmed;
  • A list with the names, surnames and mobile numbers from all girls and parents;
  • The Albergo house rules have to be signed by the girls and parents before arrival;
  • We only take direct bookings for the Matric Rage, no third party is allowed to make the booking.

The Wedge Classic:

  • All guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied by one of their parents. If not, The Albergo House-rules have to be signed by the guest(s) and their parents before arrival. House rules can be requested by e-mail.
  • Please make your booking by sending us an e-mail or fill in the booking form.

The Terms and Conditions are used as guidelines and at the management’s discretion. The Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time.
